When should you bring your child in for their first Happy Visit? Generally, we advise parents to bring their little ones in as early as when the first baby tooth appears. This helps us keep track of normal development and ensure that any potential issues are caught and treated early on. 

During a Happy Visit, after the child is comfortable, one of our providers will look at your child’s mouth – both teeth and gums – to ensure that everything is developing normally. They’ll also clean the teeth if needed, discuss good oral hygiene habits with you and your child, or provide fluoride treatment for added protection against cavities. 

Besides all this, our providers will also make sure to answer any questions you may have about your child’s oral development. That way, you can be more informed as a parent and help keep your little one’s teeth healthy for years to come.

1. Brush twice daily with ADA-approved toothpaste containing fluoride 
2. Floss once a day 
3. Limit sugary foods and snacks 
4. Don't forget regular dental checkups!
